One thing you might have picked up about me is that I love to eat, I mean I really love to eat. And it's even better when the food I'm eating is free, as in the free lunch hosted by the Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. This free meal is one of the many Faribault Heritage Days events that are going on today and I haven't missed out on going at all over the past few years.

This year the parking lot was full so I knew they were enjoying a good turnout. The lunch is hosted inside the Trinity Lutheran School cafeteria and once I got inside I wasn't wrong in thinking it was busy. The line had snaked out of the cafeteria and into the hallway. Once I reached the serving window I was given a plate with a nice sized sloppy joe sandwich on it, some chips, pickles and baked beans. Before heading over to a table to gobble down this delicious lunch I swung by the beverage table and grabbed a cup of juice. There was also coffee and milk to choose from. While I ate I visited with a nice lady who was trying to decide whether to attend her 50th class reunion. I was pretty full from the meal but I still had a little room for an after-lunch snack, so headed over to the dessert table for a little treat.

If you weren't able to make it this, make sure you check it out next year, I know you'll see me there.
