Minnesota Twins fans who held tickets to Tuesday's game against Oakland can exchange them for a future game, whether or not they waited out the long rain delay.

The 9:52PM start time was the latest in Target Field history, according to the Twins website game recap. In the same posting, the club announced that fans can exchange their ticket from Tuesday, July 5, for another game this season. The offer stands whether fans stayed for the whole game or not.

The scheduled 7:10PM start time was pushed back due to severe weather in Minneapolis. At about 9PM the Learfield Broadcasting Network announced a 9:50PM start time. WCCO TV's website reported that fewer than 1,000 fans were in the stands when the game finally began after the lengthy delay.

The Twins banged out three home runs in the 11-4 win over Oakland. The game ended around 1AM.

Eduardo Nunez will represent Minnesota in Tuesday's All-Star Game in San Diego.
