Unfamiliar with mashups? They are the mixture of two very different things, often songs of different genres being combined to create a blended and unique sound. They’ve become pretty popular over the past few years, and it’s been fun seeing the creative efforts and unexpected pairings.

This mashup features "Jump" by rock band Van Halen. The song was released in 1983 as the first single off of Van Halen's 1984 album and hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Jump" was also ranked No.15 on the VH1 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980s list. The mashup also features "Super Trouper" by Swedish pop group Abba. From the 1980 album of the same name, "Super Trouper" was written by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and features Anni-Frid Lyngstad on lead vocals. "Super Trouper" hit No. 45 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, but had much better success outside of the U.S.
