Some people were lucky enough to have Monday off from work for Columbus/ Indigenous People day, the rest of us were off to work like normal. I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend! Lower temperatures are expected this weekend, but there is still plenty going on in the area! 

  • Friday night, enjoy music from the '60s and the British Invasion as Gary Rue and the Sensational Sleepers perform at the Paradise Center for the Arts!
  • From 4-8PM on Friday at the Faribault Moose Lodge is a benefit to help the four Faribault High School football players injured in a car accident. Cost is $5 for all you can eat tacos.
  • The Faribault Farmer's Market opens at 7AM in Central Park.
  • An electronics and appliance recycling drop-off event will be at the Rice County Highway Shop in Lonsdale from 8AM to 2PM on Saturday. The event is free for residents of Rice County with a valid ID.
  • Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault hosts its Fall Festival from 2-4PM on Sunday.
  • Sons of the American Legion host a breakfast at the Northfield Eagles Club on Sunday from 8:30AM to 12:30PM to raise money for the Special Olympics.
