It's finally the weekend!! Jump for joy, dance in the streets and celebrate the two days off. Despite the forecast looking a bit gray, windy and possibly seeing some rain, there are plenty of fun things going on this weekend in the Faribault area.

  • Kick off your Saturday morning with a visit to the Faribault Farmers Market in Central Park, which opens at 7AM.
  • An electronics and appliance recycling drop-off event will be at the Rice County Highway Shop in Dundas from 8AM to 2PM on Saturday. The event is free for residents of Rice County with a valid ID.
  • If you're looking for a thrill, from 3-6PM on Saturday the Faribault High School Theater group is hosting haunted house.
  • The River Bend Nature Center offers family fun with Bats, Bones, and Bonfires from 3-7PM on Saturday. The event will feature wagon rides, animals, crafts and a bouncy house.
  • Saturday night, head to the Paradise Center for the Arts for The Sound Of Simon, a tribute to Simon and Garfunkel.
  • Sunday morning the Crusader Marching Band is hosting a fundraiser breakfast at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Faribault from 8AM to noon.
  • The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting a breakfast fundraiser at the Faribault American Legion on Sunday from 8AM to 12:30PM.
