Happy Labor Day weekend! I am so ready for a long weekend and all of the fun that comes with it, but I am sad that we are already at the unofficial end of summer. I know right now the temperature is soaring outside, but soon leaves will begin falling from the sky and with that in mind, it's my intent to fit as much fun as possible into this weekend! It looks like the schedule is fairly quiet as far as organized activities goes for the weekend, which is nice, giving you the chance to enjoy the long weekend and fleeting days of warm weather without overwhelming yourself with a checklist that's too long to reasonably complete.

On the docket for this weekend is the Farmers Market in Faribault beginning at 7AM in Central Park. I'm hoping to stop in and get fresh flowers, some produce, check out the arts and crafts, and maybe a baked treat or two.

You could also use this weekend as a chance to enjoy the 10 lakes within 10 miles of Faribault, go for a spin on the beautiful bike trails, or hike through the River Bend Nature Center. And of course, if you're willing to face the crowds, this is your last chance to get to the Minnesota State Fair.

Have a great weekend!
