NOTICE: Miscarriages are discussed at the end of the video. If you're a mom, you know how many questions pregnant women get. So many, and so many invasive, non-ya-bizness questions. The other day I shared this status and the response was amazing. Some were super funny...

ARE YOU GOING TO BREASTFEED

I wrote a blog about it with some funny comebacks she could use next time someone asked her a "why would you ask that?" question. You can see it here. And this morning, it was the topic on the Y-105FM Early Morning Show. We got some amazing calls and one that was 2/3 funny and 1/3 enraging....if you just wanna hear the mean comment, fast-forward to 3:31.

After a miscarriage, why would anyone ask, "What did you do wrong?" I can't think of anything more insensitive, cruel, and malicious than that. A miscarriage is a serious thing, a loss of life, and something that throws the mom into grief.

If you didn't know this, you do now. Please, when someone loses a baby, they need time to process what's happened. To mourn for the baby, to go thru all the stages of grief. There's no timeline for grief, some process faster, some take more time. But, if it's been a few months since you checked in, please, make it a point to see how she's doing.
