KDHL Radio is celebrating 70 years of broadcasting this year and all of you are invited to stop by the Rice County Fair for some free cake and lemonade at the new barn exhibit on the east end of the fairgrounds.  The 26 foot by 26 foot barn is a replica of an early barn that would have been a common scene around 1920 in the county.  Rice County Historical Society Executive Director Susan Garwood tells us the barn was not made of the type of wood that it would have been made back then because they wanted to make it safer.

KDHL Radio will be broadcasting beginning at 5:00 p.m. with former station Farm Directors Rod Johnson and Emery Kleven joining current Farm Director Jerry Groskreutz in a round table discussion of how agriculture has changed over the years.  I will be facilitating the discussion and we would love to have our many loyal listeners join us for cake and lemonade following that discussion around 6:15 p.m.

The riibbon cutting for the official opening of the barn takes place approximately 6:30 p.m.
