Bon Jovi will be returning to the Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul, on Monday March 27, in support of their new album This House Is Not For Sale, which was released on November 4. This is the first studio recording without former lead guitarist Ritchie Sambora, who was replaced by Phil X.

Yesterday Jon Bon Jovi announced on Facebook an opening act contest that allows bands to upload an audition for the chance to open an arena date on the band's 2017 tour.

This will be the third time in the past few years this multi-hit band has given local and regional artists a chance to share the stage. The first time was 2006’s Have A Nice Day Tour and the second time was in 2010 during The Circle Tour. The winning band will have to prove that they have the sound, style, and substance to open an arena show.  A different artist or artist will open for Bon Jovi at each one of their tour stops.

According to their official website, Jon Bon Jovi said, “Every great band starts small and builds their rep one show at a time. That’s the opportunity we were given and now we want to pay it forward. If you’re ready for the arena stage, submit your audition tapes and join us in playing for the best audiences in rock music.”
