You Gotta Like ‘Snatched’

Last weekend my wife agreed to go see Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. This isn't the type of movie that she usually likes to go to so I thought it only fair to take her to a movie that she wanted to see. That movie turned out to be Snatched, something I would consider a "chick comedy," but I was wrong. This movie was a lot bawdier than I was expecting. True it starred comedian Amy Schumer, known for her raunchier comedy, but Goldie Hawn is usually in lighter comedy fare. I also didn't see the R rating until the movie started. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I thoroughly enjoyed the adult humor of this show and was glad I went.

The basic premise of the the movie is, down on her luck Emily Middleton (Schumer) and her Mom, Linda (Hawn), go on a tropical vacation only to end up kidnapped and on the adventure of their lives. Along the way they meet up with an assortment of characters that either help or hinder their progress back out of the jungle after escaping their captors.

If you're in the mood for a laid-back comedy and want to hear Goldie Hawn drop the F-bomb and see Amy Schumer's boob then this is the movie for you.
