Several big Steele County events are scheduled to return in their full glory this spring. Whether you want to eat a cake that looks too good to eat or work off the calories from eating cake, there's something for you. If you want to bid on awesome auction items to benefit St. Mary's School in Owatonna or the food shelf in Ellendale or hear from an award-winning Twin Cities sportscaster, it is happening in the coming weeks.

Taking it chronological order, The Steele County Young Life Cake Auction opens up the festivities on Saturday, April 23. But bidding begins on Thursday, April 21. A special feature this year is a pair of special live auction packages over the noon hour on April 23 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna.

Use of a Bend, Oregon condo for a week's vacation in 2023 is one of the special live auction items. The other is a wine tasting party for 10-12 people. A game of Too-High-or-Too-Low and lunch will be part of the noon-hour highlights that day.
