Adoptable Animal of the Week: Meet Wallace the Cat
It's that time of the week where we feature another adoptable animal of the week. This week we go with another feline, this one is rather striking in the looks department as Wallace is quite furry and it looks like he even has a 'lions mane', which is pretty awesome.
Wallace was rescued from Austin's Animal Control in July after no one came forward to claim him. According to our friend and volunteer Michaela Tews, Wallace is an affectionate cat, that likes to play and "give hugs". Due to Wallace liking to play and give and receive hugs he would do better in a home with older children who would understand that he doesn't mean anyone any harm, he just plays a little rougher than other cats.
I'm not quite sure if Wallace is a little bigger than the average house cat or not, it looks like he could have some Maine Coon in him as he is quite fluffy and looks like he stands a little taller than the average cat.
If you are looking to add to your household, this might be the right fit for you. Make sure that you call ahead AFTER you fill out and get an approved adoption application at the Mower County Humane Society. Wallace's adoption fee is just $50.
To start an application or to get more information about Wallace and his pals at the Mower County Humane Society you can head here.
Side note, sweet Maggie the dog came back to the Humane Society through no fault of her own, if you have time and patience and like to explore the outdoors, this might be the pup for you. Get more information on Maggie on the Mower County Humane Society website as well.
