An Extremely Entertaining Circus Is Headed To New Richland on Sunday
Grab some peanuts and some friends because the circus is coming to town!
This Sunday, August 8th, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will set up camp next to the New Richland Care Center for two 90-minute shows. The first show is at 2 pm, with the second following at 4:30.
Under the old-fashioned Big Top, you can expect to see big cats, unicyclists, birds, aerialists, horses, and daredevils! No seat is further than 40 feet away from the ring, so you don't have to worry about missing any of the action.
I've always been fascinated by aerialists. It takes a lot of skill (and strength!) to preform these difficult moves.
This dynamic crew performs two shows, seven days a week, across 17 different states for 32 weeks out of the year. To say they are highly trained is an understatement.
Throughout this week, the circus will make stops in St. Francis, Wabasha, Dennison, Hayfield, and Mapleton.
You can purchase tickets online for a discounted price of $7 for kids (2-12) and $12 for adults. If you prefer to wait, you can buy tickets at the box office for $8 (kids) or $15 (adults).
A portion of the proceeds will go to support the New Richland Commercial Club.
You can even test your luck and enter a free ticket giveaway! Make sure you do it ASAP because the contest ends today.
This show is perfect for families. The little ones are bound to be entertained by the fascinating acts, and I'm sure the adults will even fathom the daring performances.
