It's been happening around the Twin Cities and other areas. We don't know why some people are out there poisoning cats and dogs, but they are. Apple Valley police are the latest to issue a warning.

According to KARE 11, Apple Valley police posted on their Facebook page Monday that they have responded to at least two animal poisoning calls in the area around Gardenview Drive and County Road 42.

Watch for any odd things that look like food, or something that your animals could treat as food, in your yards and watch out for suspicious activity in the area of your home. If you see signs your pet is not acting normally, contact your veterinarian right away. If your pet has been poisoned, call 911 and report it.
