Arizona Man Airlifted To Hospital After Single Motorcycle Crash South Of Faribault
A 54-year-old Arizona man was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital on Friday afternoon after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash was reported on Albers Ave in Rice County.
A press release from the Rice County Sheriff's Office stated that the crash occurred just North of Babcock Ave, after the motorcycle driver, Scott Allen Snow of Glendale, Arizona, drove onto the shoulder on Albers Ave and then over-corrected which caused the driver to lose control and crash.
The Rice County Sheriff's Office also stated in their press release, which is below, that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this crash.
On 04/01/21 at approximately 3:14pm, Rice County Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle personal injury crash in Walcott Twp of Rice County. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Albers Ave, just north of Babcock Ave, when the driver drove onto the shoulder and over-corrected; causing him to lose control. The driver was transported via air care to North Memorial Hospital. There were no other occupants on the motorcycle.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash, which is under investigation by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office. Snow was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Deputies were assisted on the scene by Faribault Fire & Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol, and North Memorial Ambulance personnel. No further information can be released at this time as the crash is still under investigation.
