The Big Ten Conference has unveiled the eight game schedule for each of its fourteen teams, including the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.

It's been a busy summer for the Big Ten Conference. First they announced that football teams would be cancelling all non-conference matchups due to the coronavirus risk. Then, just days later the conference announced that they had decided to postpone all fall sports, intending to move the action to the spring.

TCF Bank Stadium on the U of M campus in Minneapolis will be empty of fans, other than family of players, for 2020 home Gopher games.

All along the way, Big Ten officials say they were moving forward with recommendations of prevailing medical recommendations -- but its hard not to smell the money in the most recent decision to return to action.

The plan is that a Big Ten Conference championship game will be completed in time for any potential teams in the league to be considered for the FBS College Football Championship playoff.

The 2020 Minnesota Golden Gophers were ranked 19th nationally in the Associated Press preseason football poll.
