Blooming Prairie Car Dealership To Drop Ford Franchise
Sad news for fans of the blue oval in Southern Minnesota. Krejci Ford in Blooming Prairie is in the process of resigning from the Ford franchise according to a post to social media yesterday evening.
The post states to customers:
"Today [Saturday, June 20] the Krejci Family is announcing the pending resignation of the Ford Motor Company franchise known as Krejci Ford. With respect to you, our loyal customers supporting Krejci Ford, first and foremost, thank you for your business and support now and over the past 30 years!
The resignation process with Ford Motor Company is in the first stage and will likely take 30-60 days to complete. During this time, “business as usual” for warranty, recall and repair service. Moving forward our plan is to continue as a repair/service facility, continuing with the technicians you know and trust. We look forward to providing you with quality repair service now and in the future.
We will provide updates as they become known and look forward to answering any questions/concerns you may have. From the Krejci family and our dedicated employees, a sincere thank you for your ongoing support."
There is some silver lining in this sad news, the business will move forward as a repair/service business so those who work on the maintenance side of things at Krejci will still be employed.
Personally I am sad to see this dealership go. My wife and I bought our 2017 Ford Edge from Randy at Krejci. It was the first dealership that we went to during the process of car shopping that we didn't feel hassled or pressured to do business right then and there.
After buying the SUV we got some jackets with the Krejci logo and two caps as well.
I'd go back for tire rotations and oil changes even though we lived 30 miles away just because of the great people who work there. From me to the entire Krejci Ford family thank you for the great service and sale, and it will be sad to see the blue oval go, but knowing we can still get repair and service from that same group of people, that eases the pain a little.
