Buckham West Faribault Adjusting to Governor’s Mandate

Buckham West Faribault (formerly known as the Senior Center) has announced an adjustment of their activities due to Governor Walz's latest Executive Order.

Executive Director Mona Kaiser pointed out in a recent communication to members of Buckham West, "As we have had to do earlier in the year, we again must adjust our schedule in order to comply with the new state mandate as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic."

"Keeping our members and staff safe is our #1 priority and so the following schedule adjustments are being made." Kasier says.

• Coffee Shop- closed to the public until furthur notice.
• Foot Clinic- these appointments will continue as scheduled.
• Curbside and Meals on Wheels Food Programs-will continue as always.
• Meditation, Caregiver Support Group, Writing Group-paused until furthur notice.
• Health Insurance Counseling-these appointments will continue as scheduled.
• Will Clinic and Honoring Choices class will continue as scheduled at this point.
• Fashions on Central, our gently-used clothing store, will continue to be open with limited hours.  This statewide closure does not impact retail stores.  Our store's hours are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kaiser concludes by saying, "Please keep safe, call us if you need anything and watch for us to re-open to the public again soon!"

The Rice County Sheriff's Office also announced recently:

With the rise in the number of local COVID-19 cases, they will discontinue doing civil (public) finger printing on November 25, 2020.

"We will continue to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases in Rice County and determine at a later date when we will once again provide the service of performing civil finger prints at our Sheriff’s Office. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding."
