It's official, we got married last Friday! The whole time I kept telling Mat I couldn't believe that the day had finally come and this was actually happening. It felt like one big party!

There were so many things that I loved about the day. Obviously one of those things is that I got to marry my best friend! Also, when we took pictures outside it was so windy my veil was whipping around and ended up making a cool effect for photos.

Oh, and as the title of this blog alludes to, I also really enjoyed surprising everyone with a choreographed father-daughter dance!

First, here's a little background for how this came to be and how we achieved surprising everyone, including Mat:

My dad and I both knew we could never do a serious father-daughter dance because 1. that doesn't fit our goofy personalities and 2. we've done so many father-daughter dances in the past (through girl scouts and my dance studio) it would be crazy to not do it this way!

Also, for those of you that don't know, I used to dance a ton and I even choreographed some of my own dances, so choreographing a father-daughter dance was nothing new.

The tricky part was making it a surprise for everyone, including Mat. Lucky for us he works late most Wednesday's so that's when my dad and I would get together and practice! The only other people that knew this was going to happen were my mom, brother, and our DJ.

Ok, enough talk, check out the video of our dance! I hope you enjoy it!
