Coronavirus have you down? Check out this cat’s face!
Ok, admittedly I forgot I saved this Facebook post from the Freeborn County Humane Society before all hell broke loose in Minnesota due to COVID-19. I was looking through some saved posts today, and low and behold this one made me instantly chuckle because this young boy is SOO HAPPY to be holding this large cat. The cat named Winston, on the other hand, doesn't appear to be too excited by the love at the moment the camera caught.
Just look at his face! Regretfully, for those wanting to adopt Ol' Winston he has been adopted out and is now, of course, an alumnus.
During this time of social distancing, and self quarantines think about all the volunteers who work at places like area humane societies. The volunteers and pets still need supplies and to be taken out or have their litterboxes cleaned.
Check with your local shelters and see what their policy is at this time for volunteers and perhaps spend some time helping out and giving some volunteers a break. Walk a shelter dog, as being outside hasn't been outlawed or banned, purchase some pet food and drop it off, or simply make an online donation if you can.
Here are two of our three adopted cats, Yukon Cornelious and Hamilton Alexander III.
