Deadly Workplace Accident In Cannon Falls

Cannon Falls, MN (KROC AM News) - An investigation is underway into a work-related death at a business in Cannon Falls.

The accident happened around 5:45 am Tuesday at Sustane Natural Fertilizer.

Cannon Falls Police Chief Jeff McCormick says a 911 caller said “an employee was pulled into a machine and was unresponsive.” McCormick says first responders determined the 37-year-old man was dead. The name of the victim has not been released.

Sustane is located on the north side of Cannon Falls.

McCormick issued this statement:

“Our deepest condolences are with the family and employees who are enduring this tragic incident.”

He says the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be conducting an investigation.
