Dee Snider's newest grandchild apparently couldn't wait to meet the Twisted Sister frontman. Son Jesse Snider and his wife Patty were rushing to the hospital on Sunday when young Parker Pryde Snider made her early debut along Interstate 405, which runs from Irvine to San Fernando through Los Angeles.

"We were a little surprised by it all," Jesse said on Instagram. "We waited a little too long to leave, I think."

Grandpa was in Germany for a performance at the Wacken Open Air Festival when he received the news. Twisted Sister, who are in the middle of a farewell tour, play the Bloodstock festival in Derbyshire on Friday.

Parker arrived around 2:50PM, as Jesse and Patty -- who have three other children -- were traveling from their home in Valley Glen to UCLA. Ironically, their second child was almost born in a car, Jesse said, but the couple managed to make it to the hospital that time.

"It was just amazing, the most amazing experience of my life," Jesse told ABC7. "I'm even more amazed by how happy it's making everyone else to hear about it."

Jesse, a singer-songwriter, was the first of four children for Dee and his wife Suzette, who have been married since 1981. Dee announced last week that he will release a new solo album, We Are the Ones, in October. Highlights include an acoustic version of Twisted Sister's 1984 hit "We're Not Gonna Take It."
