On November 12, 2019, people will have another option to go to for streaming services. It has been announced that Disney will be pulling their content from Netflix this year in preparation for their own streaming service, Disney + (Plus). This comes at a time when Netflix is raising their rates for their streaming services, Disney is going to be in competition, especially since they are pulling their content.

Disney is joining other premium channels in streaming their content, including CBS All Access, HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, and Amazon Prime. They will have a lot of their animated classics available, along with "Star Wars", some of the Marvel movies, even several seasons of "The Simpsons."

Now, for the cost, Disney Plus will cost subscribers $6.99/month, or for a yearly subscription, $69.99. This is cheaper than Netflix and will be ad-free like the Netflix service. You can get HULU ad-free, but you have to pay more than the basic subscription cost. And, you can download the content for offline viewing as well.

This new service looks like it will be geared to families with children, as another entertainment choice. And with a launch date in November, that means that the Disney Christmas movies will be there for the watching going into the holiday season. I think I will have to give it a try, especially if they offer a month free option. I don't know if they will, but, I am hoping.....
