Some pretty harsh vandalism took place in Dodge County on February 26th and now the Dodge County Sheriff's office is looking for help finding the individuals responsible.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Facebook page shared the following on March 2nd, 2020:

HELP US IDENTIFY VANDALS

On February 26th Deputies responded to the area of 700th street and county road 15 (SE Dodge County) to investigate vandalism that had been done overnight. They found mailboxes that were damaged a county road sign vandalized - all had the letters "KKK" spray painted on them.

That same evening there were two power transformers and a tractor shot by what appears to be a shotgun in the NE part of Dodge County on 530th street and 540th street.

Early replacement estimates are $10-$20,000 per transformer. Homes being fed from these transformers were without power for several hours.

Deputies believe these two incidents may be connected.

If you have any information, please give the Dodge County Sheriff's office a call at 507-635-6200.
