Fantastic Faribault Festival Completed With 12 Hours of Non-Stop Live Music

Attention! Attention! Calling all music enthusiasts! Faribault's Blue Collar Festival is back, and the music line-up is nothing short of stupendous. 

On Saturday, August 14th, treat yourself to 12 hours of delightful, non-stop music.

The performances begin at 11 am with Bob's Rubber Band, known for Old-Time sounds.

Following this act is a festival staple! Guitarist and singer Moses Oakland takes the main stage at 12:45.

The third artist of the day is the talented blues singer Annie Mack.

In the afternoon, Trevor McSpadden performs his classic honky-tonk country tunes.

And at 6 pm, the Old Country Boys serenade the audience.

Lastly, the well-known band Street Talk will bust out hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. 

Of course, music is a HUGE draw, but this festival wouldn't be complete without a corn hole tournament, BBQ contest, RC Demo Derby, and numerous delicious food vendors.

Unlike previous years, this summer, the event spans a five-day period.

On Wednesday, Los Rebeldes kick off the festival in Central Park. Their unique sound blends tex-mex, cumbia, country, rock, and folk.

Thursday features the Annual Pet Parade, and Friday highlights the Main Street Car Show equipped with music by the Tropical T-Birds and Wreckless.

On Sunday, the 2nd annual Blue Collar Red Eye Golf Tournament begins at Straight River Golf Course. Registration is at 9:30 am, and the tournament starts at 10 am. You can pre-register by calling 507-334-4381 or emailing kelly@faribaultmn.org.

“Festivals like those are great community builders,” said Mayor and Blue Collar Festival chair Kevin Voracek. “It’s really an all-encompassing festival. You look around and see multiple generations here and multiple cultures.”

This festival attracts people throughout the Southeast Minnesota area. In other words, it is sure to be a spectacular weekend in Faribault.
