Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism President Kymn Anderson stops by KDHL for our monthly visit about Chamber happenings.

Monday night Kymn stopped by the State Bank of Faribault where the Rice County Relay for Life held their bank night and presented a check to the Relay Co-Chairs Amy Selly and Kerry Vigesaa.

The donation was possible thanks to the sponsorship of Faribault Interiors, Faribault Elks Lodge and Boarders Inn and Suites of a presentation form former Faribault business owner and Chamber employee Lori Warner.

The cancer survivor shared her story about keeping the faith and keeping hope even during periods of distress and sadness. Warner has had three battles with cancer and has been cancer free for the past year and a half.

She noted her last two bouts were defeated successfully because they were caught early, through routine screening exams. Warner encouraged everyone to get the recommended screenings and pay attention to their bodies.

The check was for approximately $1,000 for the Relay from the Chamber hosted event.
