Fly Through the Trees with the Greatest of Ease
You've seen the pictures and videos of people having a great time riding zip lines. It looks like a lot of fun but you don't want to drive 2-3 hours to find one that's really exciting. You're in luck because I stumbled across Kerfoot Canopy Tour and it's less than an hour away, just north of Henderson, Minn.
According to their website, "Kerfoot Canopy Tour is one of Minnesota's longest, highest, and fastest zip line tours" and "our guided 14-zip line experience will engage you for about 2.5 hours and is one of the top things to do in Minnesota. Two professionally trained guides take small groups of guests through the course, starting at Ground School. The zip line tour gets progressively higher, longer and faster as you move through the course."
Before you go, keep in mind that all riders must be at least 10 years old, weigh between 70 and 250 pounds, wear closed-toed shoes, can't be under the influence of drugs and/or booze and you must have a reservation. You probably don't want to be suffering from a crippling fear of heights either, because at one point you have to cross a 170-foot suspension bridge and you will be reaching heights of 175 feet in the air as you ride more than 1 mile of zip lines through the trees.
Kerfoot Canopy Tours is owned and operated by Minnesota Zip Line Adventures and they also run Brainerd Zip Line Tour in Nisswa, Minn.
If you're ever looking for something to get your blood pumping, riding a zip line over the tops of the trees looks like just the thing to do.
