A news release says a citizen reported a person in a group of young adults and juveniles had a gun after the group was denied entry into the homecoming football game. Police reportedly found a vehicle associated with the group in the parking lot at the football field and found three firearms.

The group then attempted to leave the area in a different vehicle but they were stopped by multiple squad cars. Police say officers recovered a fourth firearm.

The news release says two adult males and two juvenile males remain in custody. A fifth male was questioned and released. The football game was completed.

The group reportedly attempted to enter the football game but were turned away by Anoka-Hennepin staff and escorted off the premises by Coon Rapids police.  Officials say none of the individuals involved in the incident were students at Coon Rapids or any other Anoka-Hennepin school.
