Summer in Minnesota is something to be treasured. After a long, cold winter, I think we in the north appreciate the warm days a bit more, and I know for many people, that means spending as much time outside as possible. With easy access to lakes, rivers, biking trails, and hiking, Faribault has a lot to offer those inclined to spend some time outside. But if you're in the mood for something more laid back, you won't want to miss the free movie series hosted by Faribault Park and Recreation.

This Thursday, July 26, the Gold Star Band performs in Central Park at 7PM, and then, when the sun goes down stick around for the family favorite "Frozen." Following that, you have one more chance to see a free movie in the great outdoors by heading to the Faribault Family Aquatic Center on August 4 for the movie "Finding Dory." Attendees are welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs as well as snacks to the free events. Don't let the summer pass you by without taking in one of these great family friendly movies in the great outdoors!
