“Harvest By the Lake” Coming To Como Pavilion This Month
For those looking for some 'fall' festivals to attend, there is one scheduled later this month up in Saint Paul that appears to be both kid and adult-friendly, if you wanted to give it a go. The 'Harvest By the Lake' festival is scheduled to be the weekend of October 23rd at the Como Lakeside Pavilion in Saint Paul.
If you are like me and got out a little bit this past weekend to enjoy the fall color, and comfortable temperatures you might appreciate this upcoming activity. The festival according to a press release "will feature lakeside fun such as a children’s hay bale maze, music, and games.
Also happening that weekend there will be a "neighborhood Pumpkin Carving Competition." And even though we might be living in Saint Paul, that doesn't mean you can't submit a pumpkin to the contest as "contestants must deliver their pumpkins to Dock & Paddle on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:00am – 6:00pm to qualify for the pumpkin carving contest." Festivalgoers will then vote for their favorite creation. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive prizes.
For adults, there will be some beverage they can try including, "Doc’s Fire Cider, the Peanut Butter Sheep Dog (Peanut Butter whiskey in cocoa), and Autumn Cider Sangria." I'm down for some peanut butter whiskey.
We all know that the weather here in Minnesota changes by the minute, so dress for the occasion if you plan on going, and it should also be noted that according to the press release "Masks are required for all guests unless seated while eating or dining."
Adults: $5 / Kids: $3.50 (12 and Under) Tickets will also be available for sale at the door with limited availability and sold on a first come first serve basis. Hours are 10am-8pm, Fri/Sat/Sun. Visit here for tickets to the event.
