Want To Own Some Faribault History? Historic Business Having A Sale
While the official sale of the Faribault Farmer Seed and Nursery building has already taken place, there is still an opportunity to own and take home a part of its rich history. Coming up next weekend, bids will be taken for "everything that isn't nailed down" as the new owners are looking to clean out the building in preparation for the building's new purpose.
On December 11 and 12 at the Farmer Seed & Nursery location, those interested in owning a piece of Faribault history are asked to come and bid on items that have been removed from the building.
On both days the event will run 10am to 4pm.
The Facebook event states that:
The new owners of the Farmer Seed and Nursery building are clearing out the building to make way for new business opportunities. We want to keep as much stuff out of the landfill as possible. We will be selling everything that isn't nailed down and even some things that were nailed down. This event will be in the back metal building at the Farmer Seed complex.
We will be taking bids on the two greenhouses, the walk-in cooler, and the clipper seed cleaner.
CASH ONLY. We will not be able to help load whatever you buy so bring your own strong people.
The main part of the building will be CLOSED to the public.
Things that are for sale: wood workbenches, wood shelving, metal shelving, chairs, desks, greenhouses, walk-in cooler, bulb crates, seed starting trays, laundry carts on wheels, Clipper Seed Cleaner, fake Christmas tree for outdoor use, live Christmas tree stands, industrial scales, and other things not listed here.
