Homicide Investigation Underway In Farmington After Police Discover 3 Dead Inside Home
A homicide investigation is underway after police responded to a home in Farmington and found three people deceased. Farmington police indicate that there isn't a danger to the public as there is a person in custody in relation to the discovery of the bodies.
Farmington Police posted about the investigation, that began last night shortly before 9:30pm when police arrived at a residence on the 5400 block of 183rd Street West for a welfare check.
Farmington Police Chief Gary Rutherford said, “I want to reassure the community that this was not a random incident and there is no ongoing danger to the public. We are not looking for any additional suspects.”
The Farmington Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating this case along with assistance from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
The jailed individual is facing three probable cause charges of 2nd degree murder. We won't name the suspect until he has been formally charged.
