I'm a day late on this, but as we get closer to the holidays plenty of people might be thinking about getting pets. This year, think about adopting a shelter pet, as they not only make great roommates they can also help you get through the holiday season with some companionship and of course some humor. Meet Sharon the cat, she is up for adoption from the Mower County Humane Society. Unlike some of the other pets that we have featured, Sharon doesn't have any real special needs, but she does need a home.

According to my friend Michaela who volunteers at the Mower County Humane Society, Sharon was born at the shelter in 2014, and other than some minor teeth issues is a pretty sweet cat. I even got a video of Sharon in action from Michaela!

According to Michaela, Sharon is one of the "mildest and sweetest" cats at the shelter.

"Sharon was born on 9/11/14 in the shelter and all her other siblings were adopted. Sharon is a great little feline who does very well with the other cats here at MCHS. Sharon is shy during meet and greets, so she is easy to overlook....we all would LOVE to find the purrfect, patient home for this sweet girl!" - Michaela Tews volunteer at MCHS

Sharon would do best with older children, if any, in the household and does well with any other cats that might be in the home.
