How About A Ride On A Beer Bus? Mankato Is Hosting A Bock Fest Bus In March
Hop aboard the Bockfest bus this March! I'm not really sure how I came across this event, it appeared on social media, but I'm glad I did find it. Mankato's Pub 500 is hosting a Bock bus this March, and those who participate look to have a pretty fun day lined up.
According to the online event page, you will "begin the day with an incredible breakfast buffet at Pub 500 before embarking on the best day of Minnesota winter- Schells Brewery Bock Fest."
For those unfamiliar with Schell's Bock Fest, it's where roughly 5000 people gather on the grounds of the Schell's brewery in New Ulm and enjoy what the event page describes as "the 4 Bs- beer, bands, brats, and bonfires."
The bus already has limited seating and the tickets to hop on the bus run a little high with a single ticket is $42, but it includes breakfast, a round trip bus, and usually some discounts from Schells.
What's Schell's Bock Fest?
According to Schell's website in regards to the event, it's described as:
Schell’s beer, brats, live music and warm fire await you. Have your beer “poked” by our fire tenders, giving your Bock beer some nice caramel flavors. And when the final bock has been wrangled, the last Ring of Fire sung, the last keg tapped and the last mug hoisted, its time to close the books on another Bock Fest…Unless you want to stick around and help with the cleanup! But the party doesn’t stop there. Festers flock to downtown New Ulm for a fun-filled night of friendship.
Tickets to the event itself, if you aren't going to ride the bus, are $10, and you can learn more about how to get those tickets by heading here.
