Bouncing back from their only loss of the conference schedule, the Owatonna girls lacrosse team wrapped up a share of the Big Nine title Monday night with their 8-6 Senior Night victory over Rochester Mayo.

Taylor Woltman and Skyler Eaton each scored twice. Maylynn Prokopec, Lyric Broton, Molly Hawkins and Adrien Breuer all added goals. For those who like number oddities, Breuer, who wears number 17, scored at 17:17 of the half. And the Huskies fifth goal came with five seconds left in the first half. Owatonna's seniors include Broton, Eaton, Woltman, Hawkins, Prokopec, Lauren Arthur, Kismet Richardson and Victoria Dietz. The Huskies end the regular season at 10-3. The playoffs begin Friday, May 24.

Blooming Prairie's Riauna Bishop had the game-winning hit in the ninth inning and pitched the complete game to lift the Blossoms softball squad to a 6-5 playoff win over Bethlehem Academy Monday. Bishop gave up just one earned run as BP committed eight errors in the game. She struck out five batters and allowed eight hits.

Maren Forystek led the offense, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Bobbie Bruns had two hits and scored a run. Julia Worke collected an RBI. Maya Lembke had a double and scored a run.

With the win Blooming Prairie advances into the double-elimination portion of the Section 1A tournament and a game at Hayfield on Tuesday, May 21.
