Between 7:30 and 7:45AM Thursday, the Northfield Police Department said in a statement from NPD Chief Monte Nelson and Deputy Police Chief Mark Dukatz, that they had a report of a male exposing himself in the 1600 block of Jefferson Parkway. According to the Northfield News, Assistant Chief Mark Dukatz said that at that time of the morning students are traveling to the high school, middle school and Bridgewater Elementary, and that the event was witnessed by what he described as a "younger person."

He also said that the event did not take place on school property but was close to it. The witness report said the subject was in a vehicle, described as a black or dark gray car. The subject was described as a white male, 30-40 years old, and having short brown hair and was believed to be alone.

The Northfield police do not believe this incident is connected to previous ones, as the suspect in that case was described as Hispanic and in this incident it appears to be a white person.

NPD is going to have extra patrols around the schools as we near the end of the school year, and if you see something like this incident and you can get a license plate number, vehicle description or other information and safely report it to Northfield police at (507) 645-4475 or 911.
