
Farmington Woman Critically Hurt in Crash With Police SUV
Farmington, MN (MinnesotaNow) - A Farmington woman was severely injured yesterday in a traffic crash involving a law enforcement vehicle.
The State Patrol says the collision was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday at an intersection on Highway 3 in Farmington. The crash report says a Farmington Police Department SUV was traveling south on the highway with its emergency lights and sirens activated when it collided with a car traveling east on an intersecting road.
Life Threatening Injuries
The driver of the car has been identified as 72-year-old Aristea Kontinakis. The State Patrol says she was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries.

Officer Injured
The Farmington police officer involved in the crash has been identified as 22-year-old Alexander Goodreau of Farmington. He was also transported to the hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol says both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not involved.
