Princeton, MN (MinnesotaNow) - An online fundraising campaign has been launched for a Minnesota soldier who was badly wounded in the Iranian drone attack that killed a Minnesota Army reservist and five others.

The GoFundMe webpage benefiting the family of Sergeant First Class Cory Hicks of Princeton says he was serving in Kuwait when his unit was hit by an Iranian air attack. The drone strike on the command center left him severely wounded and facing a long and difficult road to recovery.

Assistance For His Family

The GoFundMe campaign is requesting donations to help the family with travel expenses, lost income, medical-related expenses, and everyday needs. As of today, the effort has already brought in more than half of its $50,000 goal.

Minnesota Soldier Killed in Same Attack

The same attack that left Hicks wounded claimed the life of Army Reserve Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor of White Bear Lake on March 1. She was among six U.S. service members killed when an Iranian drone struck a command center in Kuwait.
