The 10 Best Hotels Right Now In Minnesota
Whether you are looking to travel to Minnesota or are just planning a little getaway within the state, finding the best place to stay is an important part of your trip planning.
Of course, the location where you need to stay and your budget play important roles in deciding which hotel to book, but even with those factors in mind, there are often many hotels to choose from within any given area.
To help travelers decide where to stay, a recent report was done to rank the best hotels in Minnesota for this year, which took several important factors into account.
Finding The Best Hotels In Minnesota
While traveling decisions are very personal, the study done by U.S. News & World Report had strict criteria in place for any hotel to be considered, including:
- Select Hotel Class Ratings: Predominantly luxury lodgings are predominantly ranked, as these are the type of accommodations travelers seek when researching the best hotels and resorts in a given destination. U.S. News defines luxury hotels as those that consistently receive a 4- or 5-star "hotel class" rating, which is determined by comparing the published class ratings assigned by several sources. However, they also rank exceptional 3-star hotels in select destinations.
- Property Type: Properties must be classified by their data partners as a hotel or resort to qualify for the rankings. They do not currently rank apartments, hostels, or other niche property types in the Best Hotels rankings.
- Minimum Review Count: A hotel must have at least 20 reviews from previous guests across various sources at the time of data collection.
Next, an overall score is computed based on the number of awards and recognitions a property has received, the hotel's class, and guest ratings, which are worth up to 12.5 points, based on the number of underlying guest reviews and overall sentiment.
