Big Jackpot Win Of Over $345,000 Is Unclaimed In Minnesota
It seems that wherever you go to eat or grab a drink these days, there are plenty of ways to win money or, in my case, donate to a local organization while watching others win.
Pull tabs, e-tabs, meat raffles, and other games await at every turn, as do tried-and-true lottery games that are just a convenience store away. While I've won a few hundred here and there casually playing pull tabs over the years, I've never won much of anything playing any lottery games. Granted, I usually only give it a try when a jackpot amount hits hundreds of millions of dollars and ticket sales skyrocket.
However, there are lottery players in Minnesota who may not win hundreds of millions of dollars, but they still make out big. That was the case recently and as of now, that big win remains unclaimed.
Minnesota Player Scores Big Lottery Win At The End Of January
The Minnesota Lottery reported that someone in the state had won over a third of a million dollars playing the Gopher 5 game.

Gopher 5 is a lotto game exclusive to Minnesota. Tickets are $1 per play, and the jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows until someone has all five winning numbers. The Minnesota Lottery notes that a portion of every dollar played helps protect Minnesota’s great outdoors.
Winning numbers are drawn around 6:17 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Friday, January 31, the Gopher 5 jackpot had grown to $346,868. That evening the following winning numbers were drawn: 1-7-14-27-36.
Those lucky numbers happened to be on a ticket purchased in Hugo, Minnesota and now someone is over a third of a million dollars richer.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Speedway, at 14815 Forest Boulevard N in Hugo.
As of February 3, the Minnesota Lottery had that big win listed as unclaimed. Hopefully whoever won the jackpot hears the news and still has that winning ticket in their possession.

Unless they decide to come forward publicly, we may never know who that person is. Lottery regulations are in place to protect winners who win over $10,000. Big-money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.
Remember, if you're a Minnesota Lottery player, you can always use its number checker to see if you're holding a winning ticket.
