Gordy’s Hi-Hat Brings Back Fan Favorite Menu Item For New Season
One of the first things I learned when I moved to the Duluth area nearly ten years ago was this: when Gordy's Hi-Hat opens, it's a sign that spring is here. I can definitely say now that is very true!
The business is seasonal and I always crave it during the wintertime. Now, the wait is over because the spot opened up on Wednesday (March 25th). It's the announcement we wait for all winter long.

The spot is famous for its simplicity: they serve all the classics we know and love. They keep it simple and the result is delicious. They offer burgers, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, malts and more.
Now, they are kicking things up a notch and switching things up this season by bringing back a fan favorite that hasn't been on the menu in a VERY long time. Are you hungry yet?

Are you ready for it? Gordy's Hi-Hat just shared that they are bringing back their shrimp burger! I have never had a shrimp burger but it does look fantastic. The patty is made of shrimp, seasoned with herbs and served with their homemade tartar sauce.

My mouth is watering. According to their post, this hasn't been on the menu for six to seven years and everyone has been missing it. If you have a seafood allergy, have no fear. The burger does not share a grill with their burgers. They also have a fryer dedicated to being shrimp and shellfish free.
Gordy's Hi-Hat is located along Sunnyside Drive in Cloquet. It's so famous in the midwest that even Guy Fieri is a fan. He's featured the restaurant a few different times on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives over the years.

You do have some time to feast. The spot usually closes for the season in October. This might be the first time I try a shrimp burger! Have you had it? Let me know!
