Talk about Flavortown! We all know and love Guy Fieri, the Food Network star who is famous for his shows on the channel - especially Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.

Believe it or not, he has been to Minnesota several times. He's even been to Northern Minnesota a bunch. Rumor has it that he has a cabin somewhere in the area so he is basically a local.

He's hit up the most famous places in the state and our local favorites here in Duluth. His most recent project? Bringing his own line of food to Circle K stores! Have you tried any of the items yet?

Another recent project of his has to do with the Great Lakes. He named his favorite foods from all the 'Great Lakes' areas he's been to over the course of his most famous show. That's our neck of the woods!

Earlier this year, he had the difficult task of naming his top five favorite restaurants from the show. That is no easy feat but he did it! Unfortunately, his top five list did not include anywhere from the Northland.

A couple of them were from Minneapolis and there was two picks in Moorhead. The fifth and final restaurant was in Richfield. Now, it's our turn to shine in Duluth, as he picks his favorite restaurants and items from the Great Lakes region.

Talk about a tough gig! The superstar named his favorite restaurants and items from the Great Lakes region, which includes the Duluth and Superior area, which is so fun. He shared his favorites in a YouTube video that was just posted this week.

So what did he choose? Three Northland favorites. He chose the Smoked Whitefish Pâté from Northern Waters Smokehaus, something they are absolutely famous for. Yum! He didn't stop there, though.

He also chose the Cranberry Wild Rice French Toast from Sara's Table, another Duluth favorite. I cannot believe I haven't been there yet. He also gave a special shoutout to The Anchor, another legendary spot in Superior - but he didn't include it in the video itself.

I don't know about you but now I am so hungry! It's great that we can watch this video and go eat what we're craving, which isn't always the case when you're watching DDD from a different state.
