Digital Meteorologist Forecasts ‘Ghostly La Niña Winter’ For Minnesota
We are all currently bracing ourselves for winter. We've seen some light snow recently but nothing has really stuck and we all know it could happen at any point now in the Northland.
That change is coming soon, according to the National Weather Service. They shared the forecast for the end of the month and into early December.

According to their forecast, there's a good chance temperatures will fall below average so that means you should get outside and enjoy these mild temperatures while we can.
The forecast also calls for more snow than average, and the chance for some questionable travel conditions over the Thanksgiving holiday. According to another meteorologist, that might just be the beginning for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Meteorologist Alex Hall Says Upcoming Winter Will Feature 'Ghostly La Niña'
A famous digital meteorologist has shared his thoughts on this upcoming winter this week, saying it will be a 'ghostly' year for La Niña. Known as Ryan Hall Ya'll on YouTube, the meteorologist dove deep into how he came up with the snow totals I will share in just one minute.

Some will have their snowiest winter in years, which isn't saying too much since it has been mild over the last few winters. So what can we expect? Upwards of 20 to 40 percent of normal. Yes, we get a lot of snow already typically but now we can expect even more.
This won't necessarily come in the form of a massive snowstorm. Instead, he says we can expect about two to five inches of snow every five to seven days in January. However, we all know Lake Superior plays a big part in things.
He says we could see the 'Great Lakes Effect' where the 'snow machine goes bonkers' for areas nearby, bringing an instance of two to three feet of snow at some point next month or in January, which is when winter will be the most intense.

The good news? We should only see one 'memorable' event - meaning that one storm should be it. I should also mention - he called out Minneapolis here, saying Minneapolis could get 65 to 75 inches of snow this winter specifically.
Buckle up, Minnesota. Real winters appear to be back - at least for the 2025 to 2026 season.
