Get Ready For A Mini Heat Wave In Minnesota
Is spring in the air? I thought it was a few different times this month when we saw sunshine and incredibly warm temperatures for this time of the year but those days were always followed by snow. Sigh.
It's been a pretty snowy month, with four different rounds of snow across Minnesota just last week. Yup, you read that right.

While we can never be too sure in the Northland on just when winter will end, we will get a bit of a break from our very wintry weather for at least a bit. We will celebrate the wins when we can during the winter, right?
In fact, it will be so nice and warm for a bit across both Minnesota and Wisconsin that one forecast is even calling this a mini heat wave. Yes, please.
National Weather Service Of Duluth Forecasts 40s & 50s
Yes! Aside from some possible snow Wednesday (March 18th), the National Weather Service of Duluth took to social media to share that we will thaw out a bit for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

We can expect 40s and 50s for the foreseeable future, which means we will see some snow melt. There's a ton of snow from last week that needs to melt so this should definitely help that. I don't even mind a little precipitation along with these warmer temperatures!
'Midwest Weather' Calls For A Short Heatwave For Our Region
This is music to my ears! Midwest Weather also took to social media on Tuesday (March 17th) to talk about this warm-up. Some parts of the state will get downright hot but that won't be the case for the Northland. However, we will still see above average temperatures.

The forecast cites our deep snowpack as the reason we will stay colder than surrounding regions. I don't need hot weather - I am just fine with a nice little warm-up. Sadly, it probably won't last but it will be great while it lasts.
Spring has to be here eventually, right? The Old Farmer's Almanac says we'll see a wet month ahead but didn't mention snow.
