The 2022 Bentleyville Tour of Lights opens for the season on Saturday, November 19, marking the start of the holiday season in the Northland. Celebrating its 19th year, even the most seasoned Bentleyville visitor will be in awe of the new setup and exhibits.

Starting with the entrance, you will notice that the castle they have had for years has been replaced with a giant gingerbread castle. Also, new this year, fireworks will be part of the grand opening of the event. They are scheduled for 5:30 pm on opening night - November 19.

Many kids young and old love the free cookies, hot chocolate, and hot coffee for adults. Everyone will be happy to see the new bigger building that houses all the volunteers handing them out.

Speaking of bigger, for anyone who would like to buy a souvenir from your visit to Bentleyville, they have now gone from an 800-square-foot building to a massive 4,000-square-foot gift shop with tons of merchandise and plenty of room to move around and shop.

Plus, according to Nathan Bentley, 60% of the holiday attractions they have set up throughout the grounds are brand new, which is sure to delight everyone who walks through this spectacular winter wonderland - whether it is their first time, or they've visited many times over the years.

Of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand the entire run of Bentleyville along with the Grinch and all the other character favorites. They have 30,000 knit hats to hand out to kids during the attraction's season, and fire pits will be all over the grounds if you need to warm up for a bit as well. If you want to get a birds-eye view of Bentleyville you can take a helicopter tour high above the attraction.

As in years past, Nathan Bentley has asked locals or people who live near Duluth to try and come during the week, since the weekend crowds are so massive generally from people who are visiting from out of town. For more information, go to the Bentleyville website, and Happy Holidays!
