Get a Minnesota State Park vehicle pass - I love this tip, Minnesota has some great parks, and this is a cheap way to get out and enjoy some outdoor time, a yearly pass is $35, a daily pass is $7, so just a few visits pays for the pass.

Park facing the sun in the winter - This is one I already do, and I highly recommended it. It may not work the best on those very cold days, but it will help, and it may have the added value of keeping your windshield clear from frost.

Don't drive on fresh snow - This is a great tip, and it goes for both driveways and sidewalks, when it freshly snows hurry and shovel it up before you drive or walk on the snow and pack it down, this will make your life easier down the line.

Invest in good quality winter gear - I'm a big believer in this, when it comes to winter gear, don't buy the cheapest, buy the best, it does make a HUGE difference. While this comment specifically mentions boots, buying quality gloves, hats, jackets, snow pants, and socks is key to surviving and enjoying winter in Minnesota.
