Snow, Sun, & Rain Highlight MN’s Old Farmers’ Almanac Feb Forecast
It's hard to believe that February is just a few days away. With the calendar turning to a new month, what can we expect weather-wise? One go-to source for weather is the Old Farmers' Almanac, which has been giving weather predictions since 1792. According to the Almanac, Minnesotans can expect to see a little bit of everything during the month of February.
February Will Kick Off 'Snowy' & Cold
According to the Old Farmers' Almanac, the first week of the month is calling for snow to the east of the Upper Midwest, and flurries to the west, along with cold temperatures. The good news is that after the first week of the month, that weather pattern is expected to change.
February 7-14 You'll 'Love' The Weather
For February's second week, expect milder temps and sunshine, meaning Valentine's Day could be observed with some outdoor date ideas, ice skating, anyone?
Last Half Of February The Temps Will Go Back Down
The Old Farmers' Almanac is calling for the second half of February to feature a little bit of rain, snow, and a return to colder temps. If that prediction holds, the rain that falls during the tail end of the month could make travel difficult if we see freezing temperatures following.

Are We Seeing Mother Nature Setting Up For A Drier Spring?
Looking ahead to March, April, and May, the Almanac is calling for drier, cooler temps in the eastern portion of the Upper Midwest, including Green Bay, Marquette, MI, and Duluth. To the West of the zone, this area includes St. Cloud, Minneapolis, and Fargo, which are expecting warmer temperatures and above-average precipitation, making any Spring field work...fun.
