Towering Fun: Lindstrom’s Iconic Water Tower Adds a Twist This Summer
Minnesota is home to some truly unique water towers; for instance, Lindstrom is home to a Swedish Coffee Pot water tower. That iconic water tower at one point had a humorous feature, and from what I've seen, that quirky feature is going to be making a comeback.
The city, which calls itself America's Little Sweden, is selling plastic replica's of the coffee pot water tower to help fund the stream initiative. Lindstrom even features the project and small water towers on its website!
Did you know that our iconic coffee pot water tower used to steam?
A limited run of coffee pot water tower replicas are now being sold to fund the revival of the steam feature.
Last week I saw a video that purports to be a group of individuals working on a steam machine, along with a date for the 'reveal'.
Save the date! Saturday June 21 the water tower in Lindström will have “steam”!! Test run of the machine for the water tower.
The above video shows the steam blowing out from the steam machine, filling up a pretty large room, so when the steam machine gets installed inside the spout, I can only imagine how it's going to look!
You can check it out yourself, as there will be a celebration happening June 21st in downtown Lindstrom, and while you are there, you can also check out the huge sausage that sits downtown at Deutschland Meats.

I'm pretty excited to see the steam, and hopefully, I can see you downtown for the event.
