You know you are probably going to go and watch some fireworks shows on or around the 4th of July..  Just where is the question.  Many people will do the same thing that they do almost every other year  But maybe you'd like to change it up.  There are many celebrations and fireworks shows around the area.

There are so many things going on that include several days of celebration, not just for the fireworks shows.

CELEBRATE THE 4TH OF JULY IN ANNANDALE

When I was a kid I remember going to this parade every year on the 4th.  But, the celebration starts Wednesday afternoon, the 2nd of July.  There are 5 days of activities.

WEDNESDAY

Carnival opens at 4pm, and goes until approximately 10pm.  They also have music in the park and cake by the lake.  Great way to start the 4th weekend.

THURSDAY

Carnival opens at noon.  Several events throughout the day.

FRIDAY

Parade at 10am, carnival opens at noon, and fireworks at dusk.

SATURDAY

There's a 5K, tractor pull, kiddie parade, and carnival continues.

SUNDAY

Last day for the carnival, opens at noon, and closes at 6pm

Parade the next day on the 4th at 10am.  And then the festival continues throughout the day.
