JUST ANNOUNCED! Melissa Etheridge at the Minnesota State Fair

This is the time of year when we start to hear about some of the great Grandstand shows that will be coming to the Great Minnesota Get-together, otherwise known as the Minnesota State Fair.  I love hearing about who will be making an appearance at the fair, and then figuring out how I can make it work with my schedule.

This time it's Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls - Yes We Are tour.

When I was in college, both of these bands were some of the "must see" and "must have" albums and concerts.  Still are.

If you were able to see Melissa Etheridge last year when she was at the Ledge Amphitheatre in Waite Park, you know what a great show she puts on.  It's full on, ba**s to the wall, full of energy great music for the entire show.  I first saw her a few years ago up at Moondance Jam and was completely impressed with the show she puts on.

Tickets for this show go on sale next Thursday, December 12th at 10am.

(Please note that the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office will not be open for in-person sales. Currently, tickets will be sold online and by phone only.)

Ticket prices will be set at a few levels - $56-$89.25 (All reserved seating); $110-$123.75 (Party Deck).  Show is scheduled for Sunday, August 24th at 7PM.  If you want to go to this show, you might want to already plan a vacation day for Monday, the 25th if you can.  I'm just saying, you will want to stay for the entire thing, and not miss any of it.  In other words, you won't want to leave early just so you can get home.  Stay for the whole thing.  Maybe even book a hotel for the night.
